Carbon Credits, NBS Project Development

At IMPCA, we see Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) as a powerful pathway to address climate change while regenerating rural economies. As a trusted implementation partner for large-scale carbon offset and CSR-linked projects, we bring deep experience in field execution, community engagement, and long-term sustainability practices rooted in local ecosystems.

Unlike short-term, grafted tree-based plantations, our projects focus on restoring native forest species, many of which are planted in and around wildlife sanctuaries and ecological buffer zones. This not only enhances biodiversity but also strengthens eco-resilience in vulnerable landscapes.

We currently manage one of Central India’s largest afforestation efforts-11 million native trees planted, benefiting ~18,000 farmers, registered under VERRA VCS methodology ACM0003. In West Bengal, we’ve initiated a 1.5 million tree project under VM0047, expanding our work into eastern ecological corridors. With presence in Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, and others, IMPCA has the capacity to scale to 90 million trees.

Our approach aligns with globally recognized frameworks like AFOLU, ARR, VCS, and CCBS, but goes far beyond carbon credits. We ensure that each project is embedded with community-led components such as:

  • Honey bee farming to support pollination and livelihoods

  • Rainwater harvesting for climate-resilient farming

  • Handicraft training and income diversification for rural women and youth

  • Capacity building to retain farmer interest for 20–30 years

Through our flagship model, Aatmanirbhar Krishak – Aatmanirbhar Krishi, we promote regenerative land use, native agroforestry, and sustainable income sources—ensuring local communities remain key stakeholders for the long haul.

As a Proud Actor of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, we collaborate with corporates, NGOs, and institutions to co-create programs that meet CSR, ESG, and carbon neutrality goals, while contributing to the UN SDGs in a real, grassroots-driven manner.

Partner with IMPCA to restore degraded land, uplift rural livelihoods, and generate verifiable environmental impact that lasts for decades; not just crediting cycles.
